New Hotel and INSTAGRAM

Our stay in Minot, ND came to an end on father's day. Here are some cute pics from a few days before we left. In Minot there's a really cool chain of grocery stores call Marketplace, and we just loved walking to them to get our groceries. We had two within walking distance and it was cool because one of them had a little supplement store- the only one in ALL of Minot. Outside of Marketplace we found a huge puddle of water! It had rained pretty hard the two days previous. Of course, I decided to let Kaden play in the water. He thought it was so much fun! It was so cute to watch him running around through the puddle and driving his toy jeep in it. He got so dirty and wet, so we ended up walking home with him in just a diaper. I tried my best to get good pics but he would not stop moving!
Kaden was really excited to get to our new hotel because he got to unload the cupboards. We are in an extended stay now so we actually have a kitchen! It is so nice, and Kaden sure loves al the pots and pans.
I finally got an instagram account and I've being having so much fun with it! Here are some of the first pics I posted.
Kaden talking on Daddy's phone while sitting on his lap.
This is my favorite picture of Kaden! Right after his first haircut.
He really, really, REALLY loves cars! Kaden literally always falls asleep for his naps and at night with a car in his hand. Once he's asleep I go take the car away so he doesn't wake up crying from ending up laying on the car.
Right before we left Minot Calaigh and I decided to surprise Brett and Sterling with a father's day breakfast at this popular diner call Perkins. It was SUPER crowded, but luckily we didn't have to wait long. Calaigh and I had fun building towers out of the coffee creamers while we waited for our food. Our towers were actually WAY taller than it shows below, but it got cut off when I cropped the pictures.  After breakfast we loaded up our cars to move for the 3rd time this summer. I still can't believe we fit everything we needed including Kaden and my huge jogging stroller into a tiny civic!
Happy boy on our drive to the new hotel! Ok he actually wasn't happy- he whined the whole hour and a half! But I got a cute picture when I was tickling him.
I made this cute little collage for Brett for father's day. As you can tell, Kaden sure loves his daddy! He always has so much fun when Brett comes home and it is always instantly play time.
Isn't this funny??? Calaigh made all of us "old" on an app for her phone. Seriously cracks me up. Friends for life! We will still hang out even when we look like this. haha.
The other day we drove to the new mall to check it out. Surprisingly Calaigh's baby girl Brightyn was happy the whole entire drive to the mall. We look back and find Kaden holding her hand! It was so cute. He interlocked his fingers with her and was petting her hand. She was talking up a storm to him in her cute little baby language.
Here are our new hotel/extended stay the pool is pretty warm. The spa isn't too hot either so Kaden and I have been taking his toy cars to the spa every morning to play. He's wearing his cute new swimsuit with the padding in it so he he's safe! He thought it was so funny that he could float when I let go of him in the water.
I saw this cute little quote on Facebook yesterday and it made me want to cry! It is so cute and it explains why all of my posts on my blog are always about Kaden. He is my whole world and I love him so much! (even when he's cranky and wakes up a million times in the night like last night).

KaDeN's FiRsT hAiRcUt!!!!!

I finally convinced Brett to let me cut Kaden's hair since it was getting super long on top and in the back. Since we are staying in a hotel for a few weeks Calaigh, Monikka, and I took Kaden out to the lobby where they had high chairs so I could cut his hair. I even bought some sweet haircutting scissors from Sally's and watched some youtube videos on how to cut hair. So I was feeling pretty prepared. I wasn't prepared for Kaden to get super cranky and not let me do it! So I decided to take him to Walmart instead to have them cut it.
Look how long that hair is!
No haircut from Mommy!
I made sure to get a ring pop to keep Kaden happy since he loves them!
The haircut was going pretty well for the first.... TWO minutes.
Then Kaden stood up to look at himself in the mirror and didn't want to sit down.
He quickly ended up in my lap. First I tried to keep him happy with some french fries I saved from our dinner eating out last night.
Then I tried to keep him entertained with my wallet. He loves taking out all my credit cards.
That worked for a few minutes.
Then he got really upset. But then he saw Calaigh's smoothie.
And that kept him happy for a long time. He loved it.
 YUM!

I love his little faux hawk.
And baby Brightyn (Kaden's girlfriend) was happy the whole time.
Here's one of the times he got cranky.
Kaden's really liked the girl who cut his hair. She was super nice.
Still drinking that smoothie! NOM!

Then it was time to feel the buzzer. He sure was intrigued by it.
Trimming around the ears took the longest. Every time the girl touched his ear he'd turn to see what she was doing.
Cleaning up his sticky ring pop/smoothie face after.
Happy boy in the shopping kart afterwards!
He is such a little stud! He did great and I can't believe how much MORE grown up he looks now that his hair is all cute. I love spiking it :)

North Dakota

This summer we are in North Dakota for Brett's job at PNCL. The economy is booming here because of all the oil. Lots of families are coming here as well as guys leaving their families to come up here for work. Since there are so many young families living here it makes sense that people would need security systems for protection. Brett and the other guys are doing really well, I think they are the number one office! Since housing is basically impossible to find out here we had no luck in getting an apartment for the summer. So we are in hotels. It makes it easier to travel all around North Dakota though, and to hit all the smaller towns. Hotel living isn't the most fun, but I bought a little skillet so we are surviving and aren't having to eat out very much which is nice.

I love this cute quote below. Makes me feel so grateful for my sweet little boy! He makes us so happy. He constantly comes up to me and gives me hugs all day long and I love it.
Here's Kaden while we were out at dinner at Sanfords. That place was GOOD!
Kaden watching Dora in our Motel 8.
Playing at the mall, riding the 4 wheeler. It was seriously the smallest mall ever! There were only about 10 stores.
Kaden playing in the fire truck. He loved pushing all the buttons.

Monikka! Kaden loves her.
Helping me do laundry at the laundromat. I had to put him in the basket because he kept running away and I couldn't get anything done.
Playing at an awesome park we found. That swing was so weird!
Playing at the park!
Playing with Monikka!
We trapped Kaden in this cage below. He thought it was so funny.
Walking around a huge field picking dandelions.
He loves the blow flowers.
So sleepy, he almost never falls asleep unless he's in his bed, so this shows you how tired he was.
This is a screen shot Ashley took while we were skyping with her and Grandma. sooo funny!
Look at that long hair!!!
He loves when the wind blows in his face.
Ready to go play!
Sharing his paci with his girlfriend. That's true love right there!
Passed out!
My kitchen in our new, nicer hotel. Thank goodness we got out of that gross Motel 8.
Yay for my skillet! Best investment ever.
Our new hotel. Kaden actually has a little room to run around here.
Cute! Kaden's shoes are so tiny next to Brett's.
Playing at the pool. I love that this hotel has an indoor pool with water slides. Kaden has so much fun. He has to drive that truck everywhere, he even takes it in the spa.
Kaden's face when I took away his sippy cup. He spilled it all over the night stand.
He loves those blow flowers! He likes to pick off all the seeds. Only once did he try to eat it... and he learned real quick that it was nasty.
Watching Baby Genius. He loves the sing-along-songs.
Grocery shopping! And eating Nerds.
Talking to Grandma Langford on the phone.
Playing at the mall in the helicopter.
Pushing all the buttons.
He was mesmerized when the helicopter started going up and down and just sat there staring, trying to figure out what was happening.
Going on a walk with Monikka and baby Brightyn!
Kaden's girlfriend Brightyn, playing at the pool. She is so pretty.
Touching his girlfriend's lips.
I ordered Kaden this little stroller online. He loves is so much and takes it everywhere. He even takes it to the pool and pushes it around in the water!
We are having lots of fun here! We hang out with Calaigh, baby Brightyn and Monikka every day. We explore the city, go on walks, get drinks at Starbucks, walk around the mall, play at the pool, play at the park, have game nights, eat dinners together, and watch movies together.  Sunday is the best day because we get to spend it with the guys and we get to go out to dinner together for free :) The guys always hit their sales goals so we get free dinners each week! YUM.
